More than 100 riders join first official ride of the season

The weather and trail conditions were ideal for the first official MTB ride of the 2025 season at Mohican. Over 100 riders gathered on Sunday afternoon, April 13, to enjoy race amenities without the competition. Riders came together from places in Ohio like Athens, Medina, and Dalton to experience Mohican.

For some riders, this jamboree marked their very first experience riding the beautiful trails of Mohican. For others, a considerable amount of time had passed since they last enjoyed the scenic routes and challenges that the trail offers. Meanwhile, a few dedicated riders treat Mohican as their home base, returning regularly to take advantage of its technical features and breathtaking views.

The Mohican-Malabar Bike Club and Ashland Bike Company co-hosted the event. Volunteers from both organizations welcomed riders at registration, aid stations, and on the trail. They aim to make this an annual event to promote mountain biking and the Mohican area.
